right now the pose is weak. it isn't interesting. think about this character and through his pose tell me who he is. Is he strong, strong willed but weak body, is he shy? these are things we should read from the pose and expression. I turned the foot and adjusted it a bit, but I would redo the pose.

Next is composition. Look at this link to see some composition rules you can follow. Keep your background darker and subject lighter, or reverse that. In photoshop create an adjustment layer and make your image black and white, turn it on and off to check your values.
